Intermediate States of Wetting on Hierarchical Superhydrophobic 2 Surfaces
Congrats to Baruch and Sebastian and Valeri - their paper on intermediate states of wetting now accepted to "Langmuir".
This is a fundamental paper which examines the wetting dynamics of hierarchical superhydrophobic surfaces, and shows that while the common notion was that surface wetting take a finite number of states, in fact, there is a continuum of states. This affects the global properties of the surfaces, and can guide the design of future superhydrophobic surfaces with superior performance.
